I'm sure every geek is familiar with the can-you-fix-my-computer scenario where a non-geek will hand over their PC for you to fix while swearing they haven't been on every single warez and super freaky pr0n site on the net. You know the box that has so much malware on it that every other computer in your house runs and hides under the bed when you walk in the door with it.

I got my first chance to turn down an offer to use my "social media networking skills" today. And I didn't even get as far as negotiating the pay.
The bizzare part is that the site they wanted to promote could realistically stand on its own (and don't ask what it is cause I ain't telling). I think a little word of mouth and a touch of linkbait and it would be off and running.
