Better widgets (although Add This is pretty cool - did you leave that out?)
More ubiquitous, perhaps integrating with more automated "related story" products like Sphere and Inform to create social recommendations.
About Me:
I'm the Executive Producer of edweek.org, the web site(s) for Education Week, Teacher Magazine, TopSchoolJobs, EPE Research Center, etc. We're deploying social media technologies at a rapid clip, and participating in BeatBlogging.org (and trying to figure out how to get a response out of Off the Bus for our Campaign K-12 blog).

I'm a volunteer on the NewsTrust site. I'll forward your comments to our staff for follow-up. I see you are already friends with Fabrice Florin, our Executive Director and the founder of NewsTrust.
NewsTrust is growing. Our rating and review tools provide a niche that sets us apart from other news aggregator sites by focusing on quality journalism as opposed to popular journalism. We have a small paid staff and about 20 community editors who work on the site hosting news hunts and aggregating news. Check out other organizations we work with here: http://newstrust.net/partners
Education is what we do, really. Using our tools, we teach citizens to become more critical thinkers when it comes to journalism. Granted, critical thinking about journalism isn't exactly the sexiest product out there to most people, so the universe of members who actually take part in the review process is currently a few thousand (but growing every day). However, we have hundreds of thousands of views by members who receive our daily news feeds or visitors to our site via NewsTrust widgets posted on other sites.
Perhaps you might find the recap blog about our education news hunt interesting: http://blog.newstrust.net/2009/02/education.html
This was our first news hunt on education. It is not a topic that lends itself to big national headlines for reasons highlighted in the blog post. Yet, there is a national discussion that many of us believe needs to happen on this topic. I personally think NewsTrust can play a role in focusing attention on education, and we would welcome the opportunity to work with your organization in the future.
I've sent you an invitation to join NewsTrust. I hope you will submit an article or two on education and use the review tools. I'd love your feedback.
Hi Paul. I recently co-hosted a week-long news hunt on NewsTrust and found your site extremely helpful in sourcing relevant material whenever I was in aggregating mode. Thank you for providing such an excellent resource!
