Comment by Daniel on May 26, 2008 at 3:56am - Sadly I was on digg at 3:40am on a Sunday night and saw two large bursts of stories onto the front page, the second burst had six stories of around 40 diggs each or so. The first burst was one of my submits which was a day and a half old and didn't seem to be gaining many diggs before fp, and another story that was nearly two days old. Some kind of bug in the algorithm? Also wondering how common it is for manual staff buries/promotions to occur.

- does anyone know about Digg being an affiliate of eccommerce sites? I have it on good authority that they are. Meaning, my source says, that Digg adds an affiliate code to eccommerce links in submitted stories, then gets paid an affiliate commission if any click thus result in a sale.
